Olivia has only recently found her love of clay, and now uses it to bring her illustrations to life. She has been illustrating with watercolour and digital art for nearly 1o years but has found clay to be the medium that best expresses her designs. Olivia is entirely self taught and embraces this by consistently experimenting with new designs and techniques. Her designs are constantly evolving but always with the same mix of bright colours and pastels in a naive art style. 

Artist information

Olivia grew up in rural Oxfordshire, before attending university in Falmouth and travelling for much of her twenties, which inspired her to focus on natural designs and naive folk art. She uses her clay artwork as a creative tool for stress relief and to find calm, enjoying the tactile nature of the clay for its grounding feeling. She hopes to expand her techniques and move toward ceramics enabling her to create more elaborate pieces.
