Exhibition information
Robyn Hardyman works with porcelain, making functional and decorative wheel-thrown vessels – bowls, vases, jugs and more. Elegant and balanced shapes define the pared-back simplicity of her work. She is drawn to porcelain’s delicacy and strength, and the pure surface it offers for glazes. Her pieces are thrown to a thin and delicate finish, and she relishes exploring glaze colours and textures that complement the simplicity of their forms. Her colour palette is cool, blues, greys, pale greens and creams, calming and harmonious.
She is showing in the heart of Summertown, with three other wonderful artist-makers: painters Harriet Eagle and Deborah Laidlaw, and jeweller Zanna Rand-Bell. We are surrounded by very many other venues showing a great variety of art, to make a fantastic day of your visit.
