Alice in Wonderland, The Borrowers, The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe, The Wishing Chair – when I was a child I loved stories about portals and parallel worlds. I would wish myself small enough or magic enough to find them. Sixty years on, the miniature scenes I make out of discarded boxes and magazines manifest the same wish. I have only ever shown my mini-imaginariums to a few friends; Oxfordshire Artweeks 2026 is my first exhibition. Any money made from sales will be donated to Home-Start Oxford, a local charity whose volunteers support families with very young children in times of need or crisis. https://homestartoxford.org.uk
