After discovering ceramics through classes with a local teacher over ten years ago, I now tend to focus on wheel thrown functional wares that people will use and love in an everyday environment. I work from my garden studio, and I like to use a flecked stoneware clay that has an attractive speckle. I leave some of the vessel unglazed to contrast with the glossy glaze and to retain the tactile texture of the clay. I’m showing my work at the Missing Bean Cafe.
