Bethany Hughes, the designer behind Blue Coppice, has stitched, drawn and made ‘things’ since she was a very small child. No egg box, piece of string or pot of glue was safe…and still isn’t. Her quirky, whimsical counted cross-stitch and embroidery designs are inspired by the beautiful English countryside, stately homes and historic textiles, and a lifetime spent in art galleries and museums. Following local success at the Coventry and Rugby Open Art Exhibitions in 2023, Bethany’s ‘Medusae Miscellanea’ piece was exhibited at the Royal Academy of Arts Summer Exhibition 2024.
Each Blue Coppice design pack includes charts, a list of recommended materials, comprehensive step-by-step stitching and assembly instructions, stitch diagrams and full colour pictures of the finished items.
If you’re not a stitcher, a range of practical products decorated with Bethany’s designs is also available.
