Inspired by the structural beauty of the natural world, I use mixed media and mark-making techniques to create vibrant, pattern-like illustrations of plants, flowers, insects and wildlife. As I observe my natural surroundings, I see opportunities to capture what I see through an ‘artistic lens’, so as my work has developed, circles have become a predominant aspect of it.

With over 20 years of experience as an art teacher, I have been privileged to work alongside many ‘aspiring young artists’ to share and experience a love for making art. Always eager to explore new mixed-media approaches myself, I combine the techniques of drawing, print-making and mark-making layered on experimental inked backgrounds to create unique pattern-like images of the natural world.
