Artist information

I began painting around 10 years ago and it has been a life changing transformational experience. I truly believe that we are all artists – it is just a question of letting go and allowing the imagination to take over the reins. I learned to paint watercolour which i still love as a medium but painting in oil tends to win on the day as it is rich and gratifying. I enjoy putting on charity exhibitions and have discovered a new community of other artists via Bicester Art Network. Painting is a joy and I mainly do it for my own pleasure but do sell items as i go along. The biggest gift of learning the skill of painting is that the journey never ends – you are always learning something new every day and with every learning comes curiosity and excitement as well as a new found confidence. I enjoy encouraging others to draw, paint or just dabble in art. What have you got to lose?

Exhibition information

Artweeks 2025 is a time to stop and reflect on what i most enjoy painting. The reality is i still love everything from landscapes to portraits and everything in between. My painting these days in nearly always in oil because I love the depth it creates and each layer brings a little more magic to the mix.

Still life is still a big feature as there is always something in my immediate environment that suddenly activates my imagination. The long British winter also pushes me to invite in the Spring with fresh flowers and the hope that they bring during difficult times. I hope you enjoy !
